There is also a second chance feature when you are hit the first time. The difficulty curve is subtle enough to grow with you. The tilt controls are very reactive and work well with your responses. I’m pretty sure I was drooling by the time I stopped.

If you are really good at Classic mode, Code Red is probably a fun challenge. Basically, Code Red has more red dots that move faster. However, I can see it becoming a fun challenge once you’ve gotten really good at Classic mode. I only lasted about five seconds whenever a Diabolical Boss appeared.Ĭode Red mode is also unbelievably difficult. However, these bosses move and are surrounded by all kinds of spiky protection that is impossible to maneuver around.
You must ram into their multiple targets without touching them. I’d love to hear from someone who has made it out alive. The bosses are basically impossible to beat. They appeared to be randomly generated, although I didn’t pay close attention to my score when bosses appeared. It is pretty much impossible to destroy.Įvery once in a while, you will face a “Diabolical Boss.” These boss battles don’t seem to be related to any specific achievement. You must ram a moving target while avoiding the bomb itself and trying to steer clear of nearby red dots. There is a “dot bomb” that requires precise timing to destroy. At random times, a nuclear missile will shoot through the air. The longer you stay in the game, the more difficult it gets to succeed. There is even a dual-sided laser sword so you can go all Darth Maul on them. You can send a lava ball, bouncing through the space, or shoot shards of ice to pierce through the little monsters. These orbs trigger lots of fun and different types of weapons that will annihilate the enemy. While the dots are moving around, and sometimes chasing you, ram your arrow into bonus orbs. They might even show up in random spots on the screen. Other times, they will appear in a circular formation. Sometimes, a wall of dots will cross the screen. They will come in waves and in different patterns. When the game begins, you will maneuver the arrow around on the screen, trying to avoid running into the dots. Every time you start a new game, you will be asked how you are holding the device, either regular (at a slight upright angle) top-down (nearly horizontal with the floor), or custom, which lets you set the calibration to the angle you want.
Players start by setting the calibration. “Too Hard to play,” as the description states. There are two modes of gameplay, Classic mode, which is hard in its own right, and Code Red mode, which is just ridiculously difficult. A single touch from a baddy when you are not properly armored will send your arrow spinning out of control like a damaged spacecraft. Avoid running into the red dots unless you have triggered a bonus that lets you kill them when you run into them. Players control a tiny arrow that swims around the screen. Grab one of the colorful orbs and trigger it to destroy the advancing red dots. At the same time, little colorful bonus orbs float around that allow you to kill the red dots. That is, players must try to avoid little red dots that grow and reproduce.
